Backstreet Voice: The new age broadcast program

Backstreet Voice is a New Age Broadcast Program that makes use of the most current social technology to bring the latest news and the best entertainment to our end-users. Whether you are using a computer or a cell phone, you will get to WATCH and HEAR our 2-HOUR LIVE programs. Our DJ hosts actually get out on the streets to INTERACT with people, and provide them with the opportunity to voice out their opinions, song requests or even shout-outs! On the other hand, our end-users behind the monitors can SEND SMS to the DJ Hosts and participate in the live program as well! And they can also post their opinion or request interview on the website of this show whenever they want.
This multi-ways interaction will bring a completely brand new experience to NYC!

Nowadays, advanced social technology plays a big part in our lives. People connect better and they share massive information through different kinds of media. It enhances the quality of our communication and makes it fast and easy. However, because it is so powerful, sometimes it becomes a tool for invading people’s privacy, internet vigilantism, identity-theft and cyberterrorism. Being part of the CSI team, in the next 15 minutes, we will take you through some recent cases and tell you some horrifying true stories

“Purification+Beginning”
This is one of my peaces of video work, and it’s also my final project for the Video for New Media class fall 2005.
PLAY

Anytime, anywhere, contamination and purification are coexisting like something in our minds, but sometimes I wonder where they are coming from and going. These things remind me the copy of some movie. “Everything has a beginning has an end.” I just want to express my thinking about the part of purification. The beginning part is going to have very obvious colors like black and white. It’s going to be combined with some animation and video image. Not so experimental, not so storytelling, but it looks like a clip art image from dream or imagine of my mind. For the sound part, I want to use some kind of very oriental style of drum beat. It should be strong but also smooth for some scene of this project. Especially for the introduction, each of those strong drum beats are going to be matched with specific pitch of some images.

I love radio.

I love radio.
I like the modesty of it.
I hate the podcasting.
I still like to read a full of text on the websites with remarkable images.
I Just move my eyes to the parts that I want to see and read again.

I don’t want to watch the lonely skinny streaming bar
on the white background screen.
Imagination?
No way!
I don’t want to make tones of links and fill in lots of blanks
with the obstinate “http” to make a noise.
But I take comfort from the video blogging little bit.
I still hate the podcasting.
I Just turn on my lovely devices whatever it is….
